- Are English lessons for me?
- There are many reasons why people choose to have lessons. Some examples include:
- Improving their exam results at school.
- Improving their chances of attending the school or university of their choice.
- Visiting an English-speaking country.
- Moving to an English-speaking country.
- The need to communicate with English-speaking work-colleagues.
- The desire to move into better or different employment.
- If you feel that you would like to improve your English skills for any reason at all, then English lessons with a qualified teacher will give you the best chance of success.
- There are many reasons why people choose to have lessons. Some examples include:
- What age groups do you teach?
- We teach both children and adults. Given the nature of online classes, it is not recommended that children under seven (7) years of age join the lessons, as they often find it challenging to deal with the technology, and do not have the maturity to sit through a lesson. If your child is younger than seven years old, please contact us for advice before purchasing classes.
- Is homework provided?
- Homework is optional. After every lesson, it is strongly recommended that you review any new vocabulary and grammar points covered during the lesson. After some lessons, you will be given written homework to complete and return – this will be reviewed during the next class. While it is not obligatory to complete the written homework, it is recommended, as this will enable the teacher to offer guidance on your written English.
- Are lessons recorded?
- Lessons are not automatically recorded by Fern’s English – this is for your protection and means that we do not store any audio or visual records of you or your child. You are welcome to use screen-recording software on your own device to record your lessons for review after class.
- Where are you based?
- Fern’s English is based in the U.K.
- Do you offer lesson packages?
- Yes! Please view our Pricing Page for full details of the packages that are available.
